Earlier this month, more than 5,000 athletes, representing 71 nations and territories, descended on Australia's Gold Coast for the 2018 Commonwealth Games. Over the course of 12 days, the world is being treated to a display of elite competition across 18 sports and seven para-sports — bringing with it a seemingly endless supply of grit, glory, and gorgeous images.
