Petrolettes Annual Women Biker Gathering 2018

A Women-Only Motorcycle Fest in Germany

Hundreds of women and girls come from all over Europe for a weekend of two-wheeled, high-octane sisterhood.

Every July for the past three summers, hundreds of motorcycle enthusiasts from around Europe have roared into Milmersdorf, Germany, north of Berlin, to share their love of all things motorized and two-wheeled. The Petrolettes festival is different than most biker gatherings, though: All of the celebrants are women and girls. The three-day fest, launched in 2016 by a group of female bikers called The Curves, is (in the Petrolettes' website's words) "a women-only, petrol-powered camp-out party weekend." Let's ride. Above: Awaiting the start of a group ride at Petrolettes 3, July 2018.
