The Beatles in Snow: Rarely Seen Home Videos

Watch the Fab Four curl — and more — while filming 1965's "Help!"

In the mid-1960s, John, Paul, George, and Ringo packed their parkas and headed for snowier climbs: the Austrian Alps. The Beatles — and a film crew of about 60 — decamped to the small village of Obertauern to shoot scenes for the band's second feature film, "Help!", a madcap comedy that found them facing off against an evil cult.

In these rarely seen, silent home videos filmed by actor Leo McKern, the Fab Four are captured on set curling, snapping shots, and goofing around. (George Harrison's girlfriend Patti Boyd and John Lennon's wife Cynthia also make a cameo.)

Production on the film, which also took place in England and The Bahamas, concluded in April with the movie opening to largely positive reviews in August of that same year.

Watch rarely seen footage from the Beatles' final tour.
