Friends and Fans Send Demi Lovato Their Love and Support

"She is a light in this world."

When news broke on July 24 that Demi Lovato was recovering from an apparent overdose, even casual fans reacted with shock and sorrow. The singer has been incredibly open about her struggles with addiction and mental health issues — she even sang her single "Sober," which reveals her relapse from sobriety, at a concert just two days before her hospitalization. It is this willingness to share the darker parts of life that has gained the singer a legion of fans who want to see her make it through. As Ellen DeGeneres tweeted: "I love Demi Lovato so much. It breaks my heart that she is going through this. She is a light in this world, and I am sending my love to her and her family." Here, some photos of Lovato, with quotes from friends and colleagues who are sending their love. (Above: Lovato at the Kids' Choice Awards in 2017.)
