8 Times Beyoncé Ruled

Queen Bey at her finest.

Beyoncé has been busy. Currently on a world tour with husband Jay Z, she's released a surprise joint album, celebrated her 10-year wedding anniversary, and is now gracing the September cover of Vogue, over which she had an unprecedented level of control. But, really, we'd expect nothing less from Beyoncé — she's been a boss for years. To wit, 10 standout photos of Queen Bey in action:

She went on to collaborate with Balmain, who designed her stage outfits, on a Coachella collection with proceeds going to charity, benefitting the United Negro College Fund. After her performance she said, "Thank you for allowing me to be the first black woman to headline Coachella.” LOS ANGELES - FEBRUARY 12: Beyonce performs during THE 59TH ANNUAL GRAMMY AWARDS, broadcast live from the STAPLES Center in Los Angeles, Sunday, Feb. 12 (8:00-11:30 PM, live ET/5:00-8:30 PM, live PT; 6:00-9:30 PM, live MT) on the CBS Television Network. She was pregnant with twins Rumi and Sir when she performed at the 2017 Grammys where she took home two awards for her "Lemonade" album and the "Formation" video. "We all experience pain and loss, and often we become inaudible. My intention for ['Lemonade'] was to create a body of work that would give a voice to our pain, our struggles, our darkness, and our history. To confront issues that make us uncomfortable."

"There was a time when a woman’s opinion did not matter. If you were black, white, Mexican, Asian, Muslim, educated, poor or rich; if you were a woman, it did not matter,” Beyoncé said. “Less than 100 years ago, women did not have the right to vote. Look how far we’ve come, from having no voice to being on the brink of making history. I want my daughter to grow up seeing a woman lead our country, and know that her possibilities are limitless.
