When it comes to runway fashion, few designers seem to have as much fun as Spanish visionary Ágatha Ruiz de la Prada (no relation to the Italian fashion house). Inspired at a young age by the Pop Art movement, Ruiz de la Prada initially wanted to be an artist, but was drawn to the high-energy lifestyle of the fashion industry. In 1981, she held her first solo show in Madrid where the world was introduced to the vibrant colors and shapes that have defined her work ever since.
