Canadian actress Margot Kidder, best known for her role as Lois Lane in the "Superman" films, died at her home in Montana on Sunday. She was 69 years old.
After her success with "Superman" in 1978, Kidder found steady work in television and onstage, but struggled with finances following three marriages and costly medical bills. In 1996, the actress found herself homeless and struggling with bipolar disorder, but was eventually rehabilitated and went on to become a spokesperson for mental illness.
