Awkwafina's Wild 'Crazy Rich Asians' Press Tour

The actress has been criss-crossing the country to support the new romcom.

Awkwafina is having a banner 2018. After a featured turn as a master pickpocket in "Ocean's 8," the rapper and actress (whose given name is Nora Lum) is stealing scenes again in the new romantic comedy "Crazy Rich Asians" as the hilarious best friend of Constance Wu's leading lady. The movie marks an important, long-delayed milestone in Hollywood: It's the first film with an all-Asian cast in 25 years. Awkwafina's been on the road for awhile, doing numerous press events to support the movie, which is in theaters now. "When you don’t have representation growing up, you don’t know how to materialize your dreams," she told Variety about seeing other Asians onscreen. "You don’t even know it’s possible." Here, a look at Awkwafina's whirlwind tour to promote "Crazy Rich Asians."
