Viewers are about to feel the rain on their skin once again: MTV has announced a reboot of its reality series "The Hills" titled "The Hills: New Beginnings." Several original cast members (including Spencer Pratt, Audrina Patridge, and Justin Bobby) were on hand at the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards to help make the announcement.
The original series — itself a spin-off of the network's earlier "Laguna Beach" — debuted in 2006 and followed the exploits of twentysomething Lauren Conrad (pictured above) as she pursued a career in fashion. Running for six seasons, the hit show trafficked in everyday drama punctuated by glamorous glimpses behind the velvet rope of some of Hollywood's hottest clubs. Conrad eventually left the series in its fifth season and was replaced by fellow "Laguna Beach" alum (and rival) Kristin Cavallari.
With news of a reboot, we take a nostalgic trip back down the red carpet for the season 1 viewing party in L.A. Things have changed just a bit...
